Setting up Areas in TenantWIZ

Before you can begin to think about adding properties in TenantWIZ, you'll need to setup an area structure that will work for you. If you're like most other vacation rental managers or property owners, your rentals are more than likely located in a specific area, however, if you're using TenantWIZ to create a vacation rental listing service, then your area structure will be far more different than it would be if you were managing only a few properties in just a couple of areas.

In order to begin setting up your areas, you'll need to make sure you're logged into the TenantWIZ Administration system and on the main menu, hover over: properties > area manager > add an area which will take you to the Add an Area section in the system.

When adding your first area, you'll need to assign it to the parent area called Properties which will place that area in the root directory page. Once you've assigned the first area to the root Properties section, you may begin assigning areas within that area. For example, if you only have rentals in California, you may want to setup your first area as California and then assign cities to that area for where your properties are located.

Once you've added areas to the system, they will automatically appear on the Add a Property page to select from.

How Properties Function in TenantWIZ

Properties are at the heart of the TenantWIZ Vacation Rental Software system, and adding properties first requires that you've completed a few simple tasks within the system as defined in the First Time Configuration section. Once you've completed those tasks, you can begin adding properties to your system.
